It was voted on earlier that no one would be allowed an avatar except the admins to save space.   http://www.expertsrt.net/main/forum/topic,72.0/

groumph ®

I agree with Esopo, I would like to wuickly identify the posters with a small icon (say, less than 1KB) - it shouldn't be a problem.

Why not put a checkbox "add icon" or "add pic" or "add avatar" when posting a message, unchecked by default ?

anyway, this is  no longer a bug so apologies

I've sent a note to Matt to see if we can do something like that.  I have an avatar but I think it only shows for me at the top of my screen.

OK, there you go -- I never knew VGR was such a beautiful woman ;-)

You can upload your own if you're in a trusted group (i.e. not just a regular member). It should resize anything to 30x30 if the admin panel was telling me the truth....gotta run, hope this helps...

perhaps for nicer display it should resize to your 65x65 in stead of my 30x30 ;-)
(24x30 to be precise)

The new forum doesnt like you :D :D

Actually, it's because Sandi had uploaded hers before I enabled the avatars (and therefore before I placed any size restrictions on them). Since you obviously want to show the world how beautiful you are, I'll increase it to 60x60 and you can re-upload ;-)
