FWIW (I think you've probably already purchased hosting anyway)...

Regarding the class C IP thing -- my site (nicholassolutions.com - 70.103.189.71) and ERT.net (70.103.141.189) are both hosted by blue host, but are on different class C networks. I assume you could have them arrange it so .com was also hosted on a separate class C.

Lunar pages looks pretty good, and like it has a similar set up to .net, so transporting code there should be easy. Hopefully they will have php 5 access and access to the php.ini. It will be good to have the two sites on separate hosts regardless of the class C thing so that if either host starts having severe network problems, we can post info/updates on the other site...

Also, regarding the resource usage thing -- on blue host with a  dedicated IP, you're allowed to have processes that run for 5 min plus, which means you can do pretty much anything you need. Lunar pages may be equally willing to compromise if you pay to get a dedicated IP. That would be good regardless, because then communication between the sites can be done entirely using the IPs, and will spare us the overhead and possible troubles with DNS.
