Instructions for the dicussion debate topic.

Do not put more that one proposal in a topic.
When possible keep the proposal simple enough for a Yes/No vote.
Keep to operational, management and rules elements of the site.
Do not include debate in the proposal that will just cloud the issue. Post a second cmment with you position on the proposal.
Any proposal that is not seconded dies after 3 days and will be deleted.
A proposal is seconded when anyone other than the proposer posts a comment. It does not matter if the post is in favour or against the proposal.
Debate will run 7 days, but the Polls Moderator may extend it to 10 days if it is active.
At the end of the debate the Polls Moderator will set up the vote an let it run 7 days.
The proposal may not be ammended unless the proposer agrees to the ammendment. Instead of trying to ammend proposals, it is probably bet to let it go to a vote, and then make a proposal to change it.
Normal rules of professioanl behaviour are in effect. Debate can get heated, but demorcracy works best if we respect differences of opinion.
