I recommend that the default be pagination:on. Maybe the default for registered members could be a higher number of posts per page and then the option of turning it off.

I also prefer not to have pagination and having to move forward from page to page, given the relative low numberof comments introduced everyday.

On a very active forum, this is an other story. In this case, I prefer to have pagination, ***but*** clicking on the topic's header in the main list ***should*** bring me where I was last, or by default to the last comment. Not to the first with me having to move manually to the last page.
