REQUEST_METHOD error - Apache on new Vista machine

I have been using Apache for well over 5 years now and been a C++ programmer for 10 years. This problem has got me confused.
I created a new form that uses the post method to send data to my CGI program. The CGI program uses the same class FORM template I have been using for years, this time it didn't work! I did a lot of testing thinking I programmed something wrong to learn that the issue was that the form was passing the GET method instead of the POST method, even though the form says POST.
Now on Friday I did install Vista**** for the first time ever and after countless reboots from so much freezing, the blue screen of death last night, and 3 system restores, I finally got everyting installed on my computer including Apache which is working fine, or so I thought. This is the first CGI program I used since I installed Vista BEEP and after missing Windows XP desperately and stuck with Vista, I need to find some way for Apache to pass my data correctly from the form on my apache web site to my CGI program. I do believe Vista is the problem as I have been reading the Apache web pages and reading through my conf files (even used a copy of the one i had before the installation of Vista.
Is there something new I need to have because of Vista? File permissions are OK since I finally got few up with file permissions headaches and re-did file permissions from the c:\ root on up (I know we aren't suppose to do such things but I never had problems in Windows XP without such things so why do I need them now as I am the only one other then my 4 year old daughter who uses this computer anyways and she just plays some old Nintendo and Nintendo 64 games on here!
Any suggestions on who I can get Apache to pass the proper values from the system variables?

What browser are you testing this under? I don't use Vista for the reasons you had to painfully endure, but possibly it could be the IE install, if you used it to test. Try testing under Opera and Firefox if you have not already and see if it works correctly.

I did. I tried it under Windows Internet Explorer and my favorite, netscape. I get the same result each time.
Now I am back to the drawling board because an OLD script I have is working. When I installed Vista there was some warning about C++ not being compatible so I am not guessing it is my C++ program (should of written it before upgrading). I just installed a newer C++ program supposidly compatible with Vistacr*p but now there are MANY changes I have to make before I can test it to see if it is fully working (string handling has changed I already notices fout << myString.c_str() is invalid, you must use fout << myString which should have been done like this from the beginning!).
I will get back to you if this solves the problem or not, this is he first real challenge I had to overcome in my 1 years of being a C++ programmer, you would think the actual C++ code would be universal or something though!

Wow, in a million years I wouldn't think that it was the compliing of C++ 6. in vista! I can't believe haw flawed Vista is right now. I just installed it Friday and by Sunday I had to do numerous restarts because of freezing, 3 system restores, 2 re installations and a blue screen of death! I can't remember the last time I saw the blue screen of death for a problem I didn't know caused it (Back in 98 after I went from 98 beta it Windows 98). Windows XP did but usually because of memory leaks caused by some of my crazy programs, even ate the memory of my 200 gig hard drive in one sweep and it had 160 gigs free!
But back to the subject, the new C++2008 fixed the problem, I can now see POST as the method so I can now continue with my programming work! Thanks for the help!
