Hello All,

I am having a bit of a problem with installing Apache/PHP/Mysql.

I installed Apache and PHP yesterday and tested with the http://localhost/phpinfo.php
everything worked fine and i got the phpinfo page

today i installed mysql. the only change to configuration i did was to uncomment the mysql.dll extension.

Now when i try http://localhost/phpinfo.php then, it gives me a dialog box asking whether i want to Open/Save this file.

What have I done wrong?

Please help and thanks in advance -

Nanda

ok, first knowing the OS/platform would help. Given you write about "mysql.dll", I deduce it's windows.

now, did you install mysql with an installer ? or not ? what did you do ? Apparently, the httpd.conf file has been modified ! (or it's no longer the "good one" being read at startup...)

it could also be a %PATH% mangling issue, but it's doubtful.

knowing the PHP version you installed, along with the Apache one, would help too. Is it the infamous Apache 2.2 with PHP 5.x  combination ? or a more robust 2.0.54 with PHP 4.4.x ?
